Match the truck, restraints and unloading plan to the materials being moved.
A site-ready guide to protecting construction materials, choosing the right vehicle and avoiding costly loading and access mistakes.
Match each material to the right transport method
Bagged cement needs a dry bed and weather protection. Blocks need even stacking and restraint. Long roofing sheets need full support so they do not bend, scrape or become dangerous in traffic. Tiles, glass and fittings need separation from dense items that can crush them.
Give CargoMov drivers the material list, package count, dimensions and supplier loading arrangement. A pickup that suits a few fittings may be unsafe for a large cement order, even if the items appear to fit.
Control weight and loading
Ask the supplier for the approximate total weight. Include pallets, frames and packaging. The vehicle's safe carrying capacity matters more than empty floor space, and overloading increases braking distance, tyre stress and loss-of-control risk.
Distribute weight evenly and use suitable restraints. Drivers should not begin the journey while loose sheets, blocks or tools can move. If a forklift, crane or manual helpers are required, arrange them at both ends before booking.
Prepare the construction site
Check road width, overhead cables, soft ground, turning space and the position where materials will be stored. In the rainy season, a loaded truck may not safely enter an unfinished access road. Choose a firm unloading point rather than forcing the vehicle into a risky area.
Nominate one site contact to guide the driver and count the delivery. Keep workers away from reversing and unloading zones unless they are part of the operation.
Use records to reduce disputes
Photograph the load after securing it and again at delivery. Count broken or missing items before the vehicle leaves. Record any supplier shortage separately from damage that may have happened during transport.
CargoMov creates a clear booking trail for the pickup, route and selected driver. That structure helps contractors and suppliers coordinate repeat deliveries without rebuilding the plan each time.

Use the total weight, dimensions, road access and unloading method. Share those details in the CargoMov booking.
Should helpers be included?
State clearly whether the supplier and receiver will load and unload or whether additional helpers are required.
