How to Become a CargoMov Agent in Ghana: A Practical Start

Becoming a CargoMov Agent in Ghana starts with helping people move goods accurately—not promising instant earnings. Your value is collecting the right details, coordinating a booking and keeping the customer informed.

A practical starting guide for shop owners and independent operators who want to help customers arrange cargo deliveries through CargoMov.

Understand what an Agent actually does

An Agent helps a customer arrange a delivery: record the cargo, confirm pickup and drop-off points, select a suitable vehicle and follow the booking. A furniture seller, shop owner or small-business operator may find this useful when customers need help with digital booking. You do not become the driver simply because you entered the order.

Open the CargoMov Agent workspace to start with the current registration or sign-in flow. Agent access is different from a Customer or Driver account. Use your own contact information and keep control of your password; never borrow a driver's login to get around an approval problem.

Prepare an application that can be checked

Have your business or outlet name, contact number, email, operating location and requested identity documents ready. Use clear, complete images where the form asks for uploads. Match the spelling of your name across your application and documents. Enter the genuine Ghana Card details requested by the form rather than a placeholder.

If location permission is requested, provide it intentionally at your operating location and check the displayed position. If a document upload or submission fails, retain the reference number and contact CargoMov support. Repeatedly creating new accounts is unlikely to solve a verification issue.

Plan your first week around a small service area

Choose an area you know well: perhaps shops near your outlet or a group of furniture sellers you already serve. Ask what they regularly move, how large the items are and when a recipient is normally available. This helps you decide whether assisted booking solves a real problem before spending money on advertising.

Make a simple intake sheet with sender and receiver contacts, cargo description, item count, approximate weight, dimensions, access restrictions and preferred pickup time. Collect information only for the booking and explain how you will use it. Do not advertise unlimited coverage or same-day delivery unless a particular job has been confirmed.

Explain price and commission separately

The customer's delivery payment is not your Agent income. Review the fare, insurance if selected, and any required deposit in the booking. Commission is set by CargoMov Admin under the applicable settings; it is not a percentage you should invent or silently add to the customer's total.

Before taking your first order, check how your account shows pending and earned commission, payments and withdrawals. Read the Agent commission guide and ask support about anything unclear. Do not promise a daily income: completed bookings, applicable commission and your expenses determine your result.

Use a first-month checklist

Start with a few well-described jobs. Keep each booking reference with the customer's confirmed route and payment record, check the final outcome, and ask whether the communication was clear. Track enquiries, completed bookings, cancellations, commission actually earned and the time you spent.

At month end, compare earned commission with data, calls, travel and other operating costs. Keep a list of avoidable problems, such as wrong gate locations or missing cargo measurements, and improve your intake questions. Your next step is one accurate application and one well-managed booking—not buying a truck or promising a large fleet.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to own a truck to be an Agent?

The Agent role arranges customer bookings rather than supplying a vehicle. Check the current application requirements with CargoMov before incurring business costs.

Is Agent commission guaranteed?

No. Applicable commission is set by Admin and depends on the booking and programme conditions. Pending commission is not the same as money available to withdraw.
